John Dyer Painting. Searching for Shells, Castle Beach, Falmouth

Inspired by a letter the artist received from his daughter to collect shells from the beach. This beautiful painting uses a limited palette of colours with a purple sky and mauve hues creating a wonderful sense of space. Shells form the main foreground in the painting with a beautiful selection of forms and colours and the artist can be seen walking his dog Digory searching for shells.

A stunning picture - fourth in our collection. It is atmospheric and beautifully coloured, combining our loves of shells and dachshunds!
