Original Painting by John Dyer. The Olive Route. Commissioned for 'The Olive Route' book by Carol Drinkwater.

A really special painting that features on the first edition books of Carol Drinkwater's book the Olive Route. John spent some time talking to Carol about her amazing journey and the story of the olive before painting this painting. Olive trees, chickens, mediterranean people, rural buildings, hilltop villages, fishing boats & sea all combine into a delightful painting and story of the olive tree.

The Olive Route by Carol Drinkwater published by Orion Books in October 2006 featured an original painting by John Dyer.

The publishers approached John after seeing his series of paintings commissioned by The Eden Project on the subject of Olives.
