John was interviewed by BBC TV about his project and how he is connecting schools and young people to climate change and biodiversity loss using art.
The exhibition at the Eden Project opens on Friday, October 4th 2019 with a special private view event from 4 pm to 6 pm where invited guests can view the latest paintings and talk to the artist.
On the Saturday and Sunday following this Eden are creating a huge John Dyer Last Chance to Paint art studio where families will be invited to engage their children with the environment and specifically the Amazon and Borneo rainforests using art.
"Something really important can happen when a child invests their time in creating a piece of art, a drawing, painting or collage. As they slowly create their art the reflective space they are in can help to bond them and personalise the subject. As a child, I remember going through exactly this process many times as I made my art and I have seen this with my own children too. Once a child bonds to the environment in this way they will perhaps decide to tread gently on our planet as they grow into adulthood." John Dyer
