Artist John Dyer was invited to the island of Tresco to paint as the artist in residence in May 2016. The resulting collection of paintings have been exhibited at the prestigious Gallery Tresco on the island in August.
The majority of the paintings sold even before the exhibition opened and the exhibition totally sold out during the show.
"I love painting on Tresco, the empty white beaches, sub-tropical plants and the amazing Abbey Garden create a painter's paradise. All of my exhibitions of Tresco have proved to be extremelly popular with my collectors and this year's show was no exception. I'm absolutely delighted that the Dorrien-Smith family have again added one of my paintings to their important collection of art and look forward to returning to Tresco soon to continue my adventures in paint and colour."
