This gorgeous range of limited edition prints from Newlyn Society artist Joanne Short are all hand made by the artist in her studio in Falmouth Cornwall.
Many of Joanne's unique colourist paintings have been used for this range of exclusive prints which feature stunning locations from all over Cornwall including Mousehole, St Ives, Tresco, Truro, Fowey and more.
Each print is individually made by the artist on quality watercolour paper using a wide colour range of archival inks. Joanne then signs, titles and numbers her prints. There are only 50 signed prints in each of her editions.
A numbered, hand titled and personally signed quality limited edition, such as these, does give a sense of owning a part of the artist's catalogue of work as an original painting does.
"I love this image of Fowey over the rooftops towards the river in this limited print. This is the image most people are faced with on their arrival to Fowey, and what a joy. I was so happy to capture the view through someone's garden with these gorgeous yellow and orange gazanias. These beautiful cottages with the church behind set off the river in the...
A Cornish cream tea in the gardens of the beautiful Fowey Hotel, what could be better? A parasol overhead and summer flowers all around, the perfect way to spend an afternoon when the sun is shining. "I was inspired by a lovely lunch in a pretty little cafe overlooking St. Ives harbour for this print. The colours are brought alive by the famous pure light St. Ives is bathed in. Tulips, agapanthus, geraniums and palms all sit on the windowsill in Cornish coloured ceramics as coloured fishing boats huddle in the harbour. A joy to paint!"
This signed limited print depicts a glorious view of Truro seen from the River Fal surrounded by Cornish daffodils. The high tide has brought the ferry right up to the head of the estuary and a huge spring sky gives a clear backdrop to the impressive spires of Truro Cathedral. A perfect Cornish day out on the river.
In this stunning signed print Cornish artist Joanne Short has captured the magic of the full moon rising above St Michael's Mount in Cornwall with its reflection shimmering on the sea. Two yachts drift by giving the image a calm serenity. The colour palette the artist has used adds to the feeling of tranquility. Our view is through blue Agapanthus flowers.
Pinks, greens, purples - all these colours complement one another to create this beautiful limited edition print of the Helford Passage by Joanne Short. Whistling Jacks and pink daisies waving above the Helford River in the foreground as dinghies and yachts set sail onto the river. All this with the landmark pine trees towering behind the village.
The pretty harbour village of St Mawes in Cornwall, across the mouth of the River Fal from the busy town of Falmouth, is a Jewell of the Cornish coast. Situated on the Roseland peninsula it is a popular holiday destination. Joanne has used blues and yellows to create an atmosphere of calm. A single yacht sails from the harbour across the calm cornish sea....
This beautiful art print is inspired by a holiday the artist took in Beach Cottage on Tresco. This beautiful corner of Old Grimsby is packed full of stunning plants which have naturalised themselves across the island. Aeoniums, colourful daisies, palms and echiums, all leaning across garden walls waiting to be seen by passers by. This is definitely a...
